Bioshock2 GFWL Rant

I was a big Bioshock fan. My steam avatar is from the game.
I was hyped about Bioshock 2.
Now I find out you have to load Games for Windows Live if you want to play multiplayer. You have to create an account to register the game but can create an offline profile to be able to save. WTF I have steam loaded screw GFWL. I will not get Bioshock 2 until/if they get rid of this crap. As Cartman would say "Screw you guys, I'm going home."

It'll have not just GFWL but SecuROM as well. Steam + GFWL + SecuROM = fuuuuck no

Windows Live is getting its teeth into A LOT of games. And its a pain in the ass. I was rather ticked off when I DLed Fallout3 to find it had windows live on it. But I was at least able to play it without having to sign in, that was until I signed into Windows Live for DoW2, then my saves vanished. Luckly, all I had to do was sign out of Windows Live and could continue. But with DoW2, you cant even play the fucking game if you're not signed into Windows Live!!

yea, i was warned about Windows Live for GTA4, and it was a hassle just getting the game to boot up. When I buy a game, I want it go something like: Install game, and play ASAP after installation. After I got into windows live, all was well. Don't really care now about Windows Live until I have to install a game that requires it.

GFWL is just a crappier version of Direct2Drive which is fail compared to Steam which is fail compared to... to... Argentum. Yes everything is fail compared to Argentum.

Ribo-yes, I read up on that and I think it is absurd. I was looking forward to playing, but like yourself...wont happen till they clear that mess up.... as Tambara says...I want to load and play....not jump through hoops.

I just don't want two game "clients" loaded. I f all I had to do was register on their crappy website I'd do it but I draw the line at loading another client to bog down my system and possibly not work nice with other things I have running.
